Adam Lambert has now joined all the other celebrities who have broken the one million Twitter followers mark.

Lambert’s Twitter followers are now up to about 1,001,268. And it seems that the singer couldn’t believe it himself.

Lambert acknowledged the milestone on Twitter: @Adam Lambert: “1 million!!? Whoa this is a trip.”

Adam Lambert appeared in New York City on Wednesday night as a guest of the Sister Act Broadway debut. Walking the red carpet prior to the opening night performance, he took time to talk with reporters and share his excitement for the opening of the Broadway musical that has Whoopi Goldberg’s influence.

The former American Idol contestant and entertainer might not have been easily recognizable as he has grown some facial hair. With a moustache and beard the entertainer looked extraordinarily different and many of his fans didn’t even recognize him from across the street as they watched the venue for stars. At the show, Lambert was accompanied by Sauli Koskinen and both went in the Broadway theater to catch the opening night performance.
